Qualifications and experience
I am a fully qualified, BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist with a BACP accredited Foundation Degree (Integrative Counselling), a BA (Hons) degree and full membership of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) - Accredited including its accredited voluntary register. BACP Accreditation is a quality standard for experienced practitioners, designed to recognise a registered counsellor's capacity for independent, ethical and competent practice. I am committed to ongoing professional development and attend regular training in a number of areas, keeping up-to-date with current research and findings. I am also fully insured.
In addition to my private practice, I counselled for several years at Guildford Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre (RASASC). My previous counselling experience includes Christ's College School and Kings' College in Guildford for YMCA’s Open House youth counselling service and Woking Hospice. I have also worked for the National Autistic Society, assisting a speech therapist with perapetic work, and was a Samaritan volunteer.
